The Texaco Sportstars Awards is the longest-running commercial sponsorship in Irish sports history. Developed in 1958, the Awards recognize and honour the achievements of Irish sportsmen and sportswomen across all sport and 2011 marks their 54th anniversary..
Names such as Christy O'Connor Jnr., Sonia O'Sullivan, Seán Kelly, George Best, Darren Clarke and Brian O'Driscoll are prior recipients to these prestigious awards.
The 54th Texaco Sportstars Awards will be presented on Thursday 8th December in The Four Seasons Hotel, Dublin.
