Bruckless Service Station Acknowledged for
Top Customer Service in Texaco’s Ireland Retail Network
DUBLIN, IRELAND 22 October 2007 - Gallagher’s Texaco®-branded service station in Bruckless, Co. Donegal has become one of the first Texaco service stations in Ireland to be presented with a Texaco Gold Award for outstanding customer service. The station, which occupies a prominent position on the Killybegs Road, was judged the winner of the award under a programme instituted by Chevron to acknowledge outstanding performance. Chevron markets through the Texaco brand in Ireland and across Europe.
To win the award, Gallagher’s achieved a better than 96 percent score on each of three successive visits by members of an independent audit panel during which all aspects of customer service were evaluated. A member of the Texaco service station network for just 15 months, the Bruckless service station also comprises a 2,500 sq. ft. supermarket and delicatessen. The outlet is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and employs 15 people.
Commenting on the station’s success, Barry Gallagher said “We are delighted to be one of the first in Ireland to receive this prestigious award. Our success is due in very large measure to the hard work and dedication of the entire team whose commitment to customer service is quite exceptional. Plans are in hand for a major redevelopment which will include an expansion of the supermarket, an enlargement of the product range and services provided and the opening of a post office.”
Presenting the award, Denis Charlton, area sales manager for Chevron Ireland Ltd. said “Barry Gallagher and his staff have very high standards at the Bruckless service station, and we are delighted to recognize the great work they do for their community by presenting this award.”
