Texaco in Christmas road safety initiative

DUBLIN, IRELAND – 15 DECEMBER 2006.Texaco has produced a pocket-size leaflet listing road safety tips and safe driving suggestions which it is hoped will help prevent accidents over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

The leaflet highlights seven top car care tips to make vehicles ready for the darker evenings and hazardous conditions that motorists face at this time of year. In addition, it contains five essential road safety reminders designed to help motorists stay accident free during what is one of the busiest traffic periods of the year.

The leaflets produced in association with the Road Safety Section of South Tipperary County Council are available free through all Texaco service stations across Ireland.

Brendan Murray, Regional Sales Manager for Texaco said: “We’re very grateful to the road safety team at South Tipperary County Council. We felt that the safety and maintenance tips that this leaflet provides could help all drivers and not just those in South Tipperary which is why we’re delighted to be able to promote this initiative countrywide.”
