Texaco (Ireland) appoints Declan McAndrew
Country Chairman
Texaco (Ireland) Ltd today announced that Declan McAndrew has been appointed Country Chairman, effective from 1 April 2006 and will be based at the firm's Liffey Valley offices in Dublin.
McAndrew replaces Paul Martin, who has decided to take early retirement to pursue his other interests. In addition to his new responsibilities, Mr McAndrew will continue to hold his position as Manager, Authorised Distributor Sales Europe.
Commenting on the announcement, John Lynn, ChevronTexaco’s Vice-President, Europe Marketing said: "Declan has over thirty years’ experience of Texaco’s business in both hands-on and managerial roles. I’m delighted that he has accepted the position of Country Chairman for Ireland as his knowledge of the industry and contacts across the Irish business community are invaluable to us. I would also like to express my thanks also to Paul for his invaluable contribution to the Texaco over the last 33 years and wish him well with his future plans."
Mr McAndrew was born and educated in County Sligo and joined Texaco in 1973. In addition to this appointment, Mr McAndrew is a director of the Texaco joint venture, Texoil. He is married with two daughters. His hobbies are tennis, golf and reading.
